All this free time really gives you time to think. Granted, I haven't felt quite so nauseated since I ate through three bags of Dove dark chocolates in two hours, but I don't particularly favor boredom. Never have. As soon as this...whatever it is lets up, I'm going out.

Still doesn't look like anyone else's fairing much better. Surprise, surprise. What is this, some kind of epidemic? Maybe something in the water? Who really knows.

Sad to imagine I've been here so long and hardly know the rest of the population, save for those scarce glimpses I've caught here and there, the majority of which were located on this thing. I'm not much for public forums or social networking, but I bet some of us could be real good friends, given the right opportunities and circumstances. Isn't that right?

Well. Time to scour the storage rooms. Again.

As soon as my skull doesn't feel like it's a petroglyph in the works, I want to eat some ice cream. At least a gallon. Chocolate with chocolate chips. To numb this ungodly agony. I'd take some aspirin, but I might accidentally pop too many. You know how it is.

Status report? Matt, I'm going to kill you. But not until I'm in less pain. I want to savor it.

Computer stopped making asphyxiated animal noises about twenty minutes ago. A good sign, knock on wood?

We've cleared out the first four floors since holing up here. I'm tired of seeing the same shitty floral-print wallpaper when I wake up. Every room is the same.

You'd think someone would've nuked the city by now. Rather than keep Manhattan a caged-in little playpen, the military or whatever should've taken care of business. Real smart of them to go and back out, which is what I'm guessing they did. With everything closed off like it is, it's the only impression I got other than this whole thing being some faulty, unnanounced experiment. Aren't we the lucky ones. Christ. I should've stayed in LA.

Well, it's only a matter of time before that thing levels the city by itself.

Anyone check the subways out yet?
